Recommendation
This referral was made by Ald. E. Payne. Residents in the area have concerns about Chicago Avenue being a narrow street and, when nearby Blair school has student dismissal, parents line both sides of Chicago Avenue from Spring Street to Randall Street leaving a very narrow drive lane that cannot pass emergency vehicles. The request is to remove parking on the north side of Chicago Avenue from Spring Street to Randall Street to keep a clear open lane at all times. Staff supports this request and recommends approval.
