Recommendation
Engineering staff has conducted a speed study of Scott Avenue from Coolidge Avenue to Newhall Avenue. We placed traffic counters on Scott Avenue between Estberg and Wabash which represented the area of most concern for speeding.
Our speed study has concluded that there is not a speeding issue on Scott Avenue. There are some excessive speeders, but very few in number. The speed data will be shared with the policed department for any further speed enforcement.
Staff does not feel that installation of any control devices or signage is warranted and recommends no action on this item.
