Recommendation
Engineering staff has reviewed this location for the installation of an All-Way stop control. Traffic counts and speed data were collected. Results from the volume study and speed study did not warrant installing an All-Way stop. A subsequent request was made to study Laflin Avenue near Garfield and to consider installing an All-Way stop at this location. Staff had elected to study an extended area of the neighborhood which included Laflin, Newhall and down to Harrison. This study did not reveal a need for installing additional traffic control devices.
Staff is not in favor of installing an All-Way stop at this location and recommends no action on this item.
