Recommendation
This item was brought forward by Public Work and Transit. An existing bus stop is located on the south side of Arcadian Avenue just West of Hartwell Ave. When buses stop, they are sticking half way into the eastbound lane of traffic because vehicles are allowed to park to close to the bus stop to give the bus proper pull over clearance. Additionally, La Casa installed a new parking lot driveway west of this bus stop and the overall parking allowances from Hartwell to the rail road tracks need to be adjusted. This item, if approved will allow buses to properly pull off to pick up riders and still allow for some parking on this side of the street.
The Department of Public Works does not have any issues with approving this item.
