Recommendation
Referral was made by Public Works with endorsement by Ald. Manion. Staff has been working with residents on Market Place to address a speeding issue. Some local drivers are speeding on Waterview Lane and Market Place. Public Works has already placed some speed limit signs on Market Place and we also feel that a stop sign is needed on Waterview Lane to bring drivers to a complete stop before entering onto Market Place. Without a stop there, drivers tend to speed around that corner without yielding or slowing. Staff recommends approval of a stop sign on Waterview Lane at Market Place.
