Recommendation
Upon request from the Committee, engineering staff has reviewed the southern end of the parking lot near Cutler Street where the light level readings were the lowest to see if changes to the existing light pole could bring up those lower readings. Staff has concluded that adding a second light fixture to the existing light pole on the southern end of the parking lot island and rotating the fixture arms will result in casting more light towards the direction of the lower light readings. The cost to install the extra fixture and make the appropriate adjustments would be $300 and completed by City garage. Staff recommends installing a second light fixture.
Recommended motion: Install a second light fixture on the southern-most light pole in the parking lot median island of parking lot No. 8.
