Engineering staff has conducted a preliminary review of this item. We have not collected traffic data at this time. Based on the traffic volume needed to warrant an all way stop, the traffic volumes expected in this subdivision would not meet that warrant. The request is specific to installing an all-way stop at this intersection for the benefit of the bus drop off location for school students. Although, an all-way stop would provide some safety benefit for students crossing the street, staff feels that other methods to insure safety at bus drop off could be explored rather than install a permanent all-way stop.
Staff is not in favor of an all-way stop at this intersection. Staff recommends no action on this item.
