Recommendation
Referral was made by Ald. Thieme on behalf of concerned citizens in the area. Concerns are for westbound and eastbound traffic on W. Main Street making a U-Turn from the left lane. This has cause some traffic safety concerns for drivers using Nike Drive or Paramount Drive who make right turn onto W. Main Street and nearly collide with a driver doing a U-Turn. Staff has reviewed this issue and we agree that placing a No U-Turn sign for both directions of eastbound and westbound E. Main Street will offer safer driving conditions. Staff recommends approval.
