Recommendation

This referral was made by Ald. Manion.  Currently, the intersection at S. Prairie Avenue and Mulberry Lane is an All-Way stop.  There are no painted stop bars or crosswalks.  There is existing sidewalk and old curb ramps on each quadrant of the intersection.  The old curb ramps are not ADA compliant.  Engineering has reviewed this location and would be in favor of having new ADA compliant curb ramps installed and install new crosswalk pavement markings and stop bars.  If the committee approves this item, it would be contingent on available funding.  It is estimated to cost about $5000 to install new ramps.  Currently, there is no funding source for this work.
