This referral was made by Public Works on behalf of Police Chief Jack. Items 17-0365, 0366, 0367, 0368 and 0369 are all related to the same request made by Chief Jack at 5 different street locations. Every year, at certain locations near the Waukesha County Expo / Fair grounds, the City Police department requires extra staff time to set out, maintain, and pick up temporary no parking signs. This request is to install permanent No Parking signs in these locations.
Installation of signs related to this item would cost $450. It should be noted that the cost to install signs at all 5 locations, if approved, would be approximately $1,900 total. The Department of Public Works does not have any issues with a permanent No Parking zone at this location, however, the cost for installing the signs would come from the B&G budget allowance.
