This item was referred by Ald. Helgestad. This request has come from concerned residents on Hamilton Avenue about large trucks going down Hamilton to get to Prairie Avenue. These trucks are coming and going from the Aires building. Ald. Helgestad met with concerned residents and they determined that having trucks use Franklin Avenue to W. College Avenue would be a better route and implementing a No Parking time zone on the west side of Franklin Avenue would aid in the larger vehicles to get to W. College Ave. The Department of Public Works does not have an issue with this request.
This item was originally brought to the B&G committee in October 2017. The committee voted 3 aye, 1 nay to approve. This approved item then appeared on the B&G Committee report at the November 7, 2017 council meeting. A motion was made an approved a council to bring this item back to the B&G Committee for further review and consideration. This item will be on the November 20, 2017 B&G committee.
