This item was brought forward by Public Works and Transit. With the reconstruction of W. Main Street, a right turn lane was introduced on eastbound W. Main Street at N. East Avenue. This right turn lane is coincident with the eastbound bus stop location at this location. The request is to approve signing that indicated that eastbound right turning traffic must turn right and that a transit bus can, when it’s safe to make the maneuver, go straight from that right turn lane. The bus route goes east and west down E. Main Street. The cost for this signing will be around $100.
