Recommendation
This item was brought forward by Public Works and Transit. With the resurfacing of W. Moreland Blvd. this summer Engineering has incorporated new pavement marking on westbound side of the street. Two lanes will continue westbound to Delafield Street and the outside lane will drop off to a right turn only lane. This new right turn lane is coincident with the westbound bus stop location at this location. The request is to approve signing that indicated that westbound right turning traffic must turn right and that a transit bus can, when it’s safe to make the maneuver, go straight from that right turn lane to continue west down W. Moreland Blvd. The cost for this signing will be around $100.
