Recommendation

This item was brought forward by Ald. Eric Payne in response to ongoing calls and concerns from residents on speeding on Madison Street.  The majority of speeding traffic is traveling eastbound “downhill” and the requested installation of an electronic speed feedback sign will remind drivers of the 25 mph speed limit as they approach the sharp downhill section by 4^th street.  The cost for installation of an electronic speed feedback sign will be around $5,000.
