Recommendation
This item was brought forward by UW-Milwaukee, Waukesha Campus. On Summit Avenue both east and west of N. University Avenue, then UW-Waukesha had way finding signing pointing the way to their campus. Today, the campus is under direction of UW-Milwaukee and they are requesting to change out the way finding signs with new ones that say UW-Milwaukee. Prior to 2017, Summit Avenue at the subject locations was under jurisdiction of WisDOT. Presently these locations are under City of Waukesha jurisdiction and require the Building and Grounds Committee to approve signing of this nature in our right of way. There is not cost to the City and all signing will be done by UW-Milwaukee Waukesha Campus hired contractor at their expense. Staff has no issues with this request.
