This item was referred by Ald. McElderry to address current and anticipated traffic / pedestrian safety concerns on River Valley Road. In May and June of 2021, Engineering staff had conducted a traffic study of this neighborhood to develop a plan of action to address vehicular traffic and pedestrian safety issue. The study results show the subject improvements would benefit the overall traffic safety of the neighborhood. The Department of Public Works recommends approval of this item. The cost for installing a new stop signs would be around $400.
