• Title: Move the Caution Pedestrian Crossing Ahead sign from its current location on Fox River Parkway at Highpoint Lane further north towards Woodview Drive. There is a crosswalk next to its current location that is heavily used for the park. However the sign is past this crossing and is intended to caution traffic about the crossing further south at River Place Blvd. Also change the color of the Caution Pedestrian Crossing Ahead sign to a high visible green.

Recommendation

This item was referred by Ald. McElderry in response to safety concerns on Fox River Parkway at Highpoint Lane / Woodview Dr.  Staff has reviewed the location and recommends installing new signing for the crossing of Fox River Parkway at Highpoint Lane.  The Department of Public Works recommends approval of this item.  The cost for modifying the signs would be around $300.
