This item was brought forward by Ald. Rodriguez. Residents on Jefferson Avenue have concerns about an increase in truck traffic on their street. The truck traffic is mainly for the distribution center on Gale Street. The Department of Public Works does not have any issues with placing a weight restriction signing on Jefferson Avenue.
The cost for installing the weight restriction signs would be around $200 and covered by the 2021 Building and Grounds Sign Budget (3310.54140).
